London Jets kept up their recent good form with a convincing home win 50-40 against Abertillery and a really impressive away draw at Charlemont 45-45. At home to Abertillery, there was solid scoring throughout the top 5 in the team, with the home team recording 9 heat winners and none of them scoring below paid 8. Manager Alan Baylee said, " We look well balanced in the main body of the team, an to score 50 at home is very pleasing. At reserve Chad had no luck and TJ battled well for his paid 4....in Scott Allen (13) and Vaclav Cervenka (paid 14) we have 2 riders who looked very capable of leading this team to glory as the season develops. Jamie (paid 9), Charlie (paid 9) and skipper Tom (paid 8) showed excellent form which was most pleasing to me and the fans....." This good form was replicated at Charlemont where the Jets gained their second away point of the season against everyone's favourites for the title Charlemont. Again it was number 1 Scott Allen who top scored with 12 from 5 rides and there were solid scores from skipper Tom Hennesy (paid 12) Jamie Airey (paid 9) and Cervenka (7) as 3 drawn heats in the closing stages brought a tied meeting. Baylee commented, "We are well pleased with that result. Yes, the home team were missing France at 2, and they had to use Rider Replacement, and it didn't yield them many points, but you have to take the chances when they come along and we certainly did that. All the team scored solidly, which was really pleasing, and we look to maintain our good form in front of a bumper crowd at home to Hull next time out...."
