Wednesfield Wanderers manager Steve Morgan, was in a relaxed mood when interviewed after the recent transfer window and the revealing of the new GSA averages, but what followed was really out of character.
When asked what his thoughts were with his team, he said, "I didn't give changing my team much thought to be honest. I wanted this septet at the start of the season, they were my choice a the start of the season, and they are my choice 6 weeks later. Yes, we have had an upset getting knocked out of the K.O.Cup, but poor results happen. Kristian Stemme has been in awful form by his standards, but dos that make him all of a sudden a bad rider? In 6 weeks???! He needs his confidence upping, he needs to walk around the pits with a smile on his face, and enjoy what he does. He is a professional sportsman. He will come good again, form is temporary, class is permanent......as for the other managers in the PL and around the leagues, I cant understand them making changes after 6 weeks!!!! I get it after 12 as we have a proper assessment. But 6 weeks!!! Come on.........Yes, we all want to be successful but you cant harp on about how good your side looks and then ditch riders."
When quizzed about the team set up, Morgan added, "We have made one change, enforced by the averages. Jon Nysted has quickly gone into the main body of the team, and I have immediately dropped him in at number 2, where he racked up loads of point for me 2 years ago when he rode for us last. He will perform strongly with Boris and also in heat 8. Dylan is a young boy and will benefit from some time at reserve. Potenially a big scorer from there, so we will see how he goes. We just want much of the same from Jamie and Boris, and Phil and Janne to chip in with points to keep us top of the league......"
