Round 6 of the South Midlands Juvenile Jaunt rolls into town this week, and the Bullet Arena Management and Promotion are excstatic to be hosting the event for the first time in their history
Bottesford's own Darcy Broad will be looking to consolidate his current position in the South Midlands group where he sits in 2nd place after the first 5 rounds.
Broad is 8 points behind the current leader, Lloyd Byfield at the half way stage and is also handily placed in equal 6th place in the overall standings, with the overall top 32 heading into two semi-finals, Darcy is keen to consolidate and qualify.
Byfield has been in scintillating form thus far, taking the win on three of the five occasions, whilst Broad has stood on three podiums with two second places and a third.Newmarket's Wayne Josephs currently occupies third spot, a close 1 point behind Darcy Broad.
"I'd love to take the win on the day at home in front of our own fans" said Broad, "However I've not ridden so well at home of late, I had some mechanical issues in the recent Jaunt Home Internationals and was gutted to run two lasts. I did score 4 with two second places, and contributed to England winning the meeting and claiming the Championships in a quality field, so I'm more than happy with that." Broad did fare a little better in the recent Top Gun event and is targetting the Jaunt Semi Finals. "I'm joint 6th in the overall standings amongst some big junior names riding for some big clubs. I'm really happy at Bottesford and I'm sure the locals will turn out to watch the South Midlands event."
It's a busy week at the Bullet Arena with the Jaunt 6th round being run as well as staging the Power League 4 Team tournament this week. A real treat for the fans in Lincolnshire and a filip for the track and promotion to be hosting two heralded events, exciting times in the Lincolnshire town of Bottesford.
