Well, the news from the Woods in Peelings Lane is fantastic.
A fine showing in the 4TT shows we were robbed, tied going into the last race and Ben going for us, somehow he finished bloody last !!!!
Anyway, that was just a sideshow leading to the SIM fixture of the week, our home tie with our very near neighbours the Hailsham Pikeys.
I don't know how we squeezed everybody into the woods, but the place was heaving, food outlets sold out, track shop was buzzing and we had to lever the last few out of the bar at midnight. Only a 10 point win was to be had, but with Ben scoring only 6, it saved the SIM computer from going bang as the Stars topped 60 points.
We are at Westwood this week, all the boys are fit. After looking at Westwoods previous home lapses and our efforts on the road, I think we have come up with the right tictacs for our second away win of the season.
On the silly speedway front, I'm off to Rye House for the NLRC tomorrow night, only Marc Owen for the Eagles, BWD with an injured hand will have to miss out I'm afraid.
The winner.
From my head, Adam Ellis
From my heart, Marc Owen
For the benefit of speedway, Zach Wajtnecht
And I really hope not, that tart Rob Branford
Bit like Stone Cross, looks like the Eagles will have lots of silverware by the end of the season.
National Trophy, two legged v Rye House (easy win)
National Gold Cup, two legged v Birmingham (worth watching but ours over two legs)
National KO Cup, two legged v Cradley (probably win home and away)
National League, Runners-Up
Surely that must have sparked a few responses !!
