After seeing flying middle order rider Olle Runeberg crash, and hearing he was out for 4 weeks, Terriors boss Steve Donaldson knew he would have to move quickly to give his team a chance to push on from their current 2nd place position in the league.
"Honestly, my heart dropped, because I know that Olle is a fantastic rider, and I know that missing him for 4 weeks would be awful for us. Thankfully, I had a quick scan over the transfer list, and one name popped out to me. I got on the phone, and a deal was done instantly.
So, joining us on loan for 4 weeks, I would like the fans to welcome back last years captain, Ryan Irwin. Ryan is a fantastic rider, a steadying influence in the pits, and an experienced rider who knows the tracks. I am delighted that he quickly agreed to come to us on a temporary basis, and I know he is eager to show he can still cut it in the top league in the World.
This week, we have our first meeting with a bonus point up for grabs. We lost by 10 at Lanarkshire, and while I would love to get the bonus point, we know that our first priority is going to be getting the win, as Lanarkshire have already beaten us once at Tunstall"
