Wednesfield Wanderers, sponsored for a 5th season by Welding Services, finished off their preparations ready for the LIVE SIM meeting between the hosts, Wednesfield Wanderers and Canvey Island Castaways.
It is anticpated that a bumper crowd will pack the stands at the Kingo Arena, and there will also be a large TV audience to coincide with SIM going Live.
Manager Steve Morgan said, "There is great excitement around the area with what is happening. We are looking to consolidate our league position with another home win, and most importantly preserve our 5 year unbeaten record at home. With the bonus point up for grabs, we will be looking to bridge the 8 point gap to get the first bonus point up for grabs...."
With Dylan Goess out injured, Morgan has had to bring in Martin Greer to deputise. Morgan added, "Dylan has been in great form since dropping down to reserve. Martin has agreed to help us out and we look forward continuing his fine Academy league form and bagging a few points. My boys know the importance of tomorrow night, and they know that every point is vital as we look to get promoted into the U L on our 4th time of asking. Boris and Jamie have been great this season, in fact, fantastic, and we look for that form to continue. Janne, Jon and Phil Hayes are the engine room of the team, and if we are to get a win, we need 15-16 points coming from these 3. Stemme is due a big performance, and we all hope that it comes this week!!"
Asked to make a prediction on how the meeting will go, Morgan added, "I would love us to win by 8, which would then force a run off!! That will ad to the excitement, and to see Boris get the bonus point, would round off a great night..."
