I have decided to have a bit of a shake up at the Glaven Arena as we aim to climb the table in the final few matches of the season. Speculation was rife that Erik Davidsson may take a break from British speedway due to poor form and that proved to be the case. We had a long chat and came to a mutual agreement that suited both parties. I am delighted to say that we quickly replaced Erik with David Bedford who has joined us on a full transfer from Lanarkshire. He has been riding for Rome in the Euro League 1 which is a waste for such a talented rider. Know he is back in the UL where he belongs and I am confident he will score some big points for us for the rest of this season and beyond. As for Erik, we all wish him well at the club and hope he can find the form we know he is capable of. If he does there is no reason why he couldn't ride for us again in the future.
To bring David in we had to make another change. Unfortunately it was Kalle Mikkelsen who had to make way. Grigory Vodyakov has been brought in on loan from Wolston to replace him. Kalle has ridden really well for us this season and I am gutted to let him go. He understood when I told him that it was just a numbers thing and nothing to do with his scoring. I hope he can get fixed up either here or in the Euro Leagues for the remainder of the season. Grigory, though, will score a lot of points from the reserve berth and that will be invaluable as we head into the final weeks of the season.
