Change For Chargers
The Charlemont Chargers management would like to give thier full thanks and gratitude to Ian Lennon for his contribrution to the the side sucsess in the first half of the season. The club can to the decision that for the club to push forward this year then changes in the side needed to be made. This meant that club had to loose a rider from their roster and it was decided that a change at reserve might be a way to get those extra points and bonus points to win the league and the clubs main aim the KOC competition.
The management would like to expess that the relationship between manager Steven Hunt and Ian Lennon had not broken down and that the Ian reconizes the clubs incentives and has sent his unserstanding to the manager. The main reason behind the change is that Ian had slipped in the averages and his recent form is to inconsitant and are looking for a rider to come in an challenge the second strings.
Lennon did score 7 in th home fixture against the Wizardsin week 14 but that was bookended by a 5+1 in the cup final at home and 3+1 away and then in week 15 1+1 away at the Dragon in the latest fixture. Many fans have Lennon down as a key asset to the team and belive they needed a new 3.00 reserve and Drager should have been shown the door but the club have stuck by him and chosen to change the number 6 position.
Josh Pullen comes in on a 3.88 average from Estuary Whales after he put himself in the shop window as he is very disappointed in the disappearing act performed by his team manager at Bletchley and him not getting the support of the club coaches So the Chargers snapped up the experianced youngster.
Manager Comments
'Our objectives have changed for the season and after evaluating our situation we belive we needed just a bit more from reserve. Lewis Drager has done well as our 3.00 reserve and looks like he has found his feet and we are right behind him to be our key asset and match winner in the buisness end of the season
'Josh Pullen came available and we wanted to get his talent into the club and as a free transfer we snapped him up. We had a bit of budget in the kitty and managed to convince him to come but it wasnt to hard as he is really determined to restart his career here at the All Saints Stadium. Hes had a pratcise this week in the gap week and looks fast and his equipment is top notch. Hes just gotta get his head down and head for a second string position next year and push on from there.'
'On a final note I must thank Ian Lennon for his contribution and hes still a club asset and will be in our thoughts for next seasons team selection but hopefully we can get him out on loan and maybe even show us what were missing, and we will assit him finding a new club this season.'
