London Jets went top of the Academy League after beating Charlemont at home by 4 points which gave them 2 points for the win and another bonus point after the draw at Charlemont earlier in the season..... Vaclav Cervenka top scored with paid and he was well backed by number 1 Scott Allen with 10, but it was new boy Adam Bridgett who stole the lime light with an impressive debut score of paid 10 from 5 rides. Alan Baylee said buoyantly after the meeting," losing Chad was a big loss but it has certainly opened a door for Adam to come in and score some points. With Tom having an in and out night, it was great to see Adam riding well at the Starbug and getting in amongst the points early on in the meeting." Vaclav and Scott rode well to finish 3rd in the AL pairs and earn the club. They finished a point behind Burslem and had to settle for a Bronze Medal. Baylee added," we were happy with 3rd. We had 3 last places which you can't afford to have in this format, but the boys rode well and I'm happy.... We move on now with the last 4 league meetings and look to finish as high in the league as possible. Confidence is good amongst the boys and we will ride our socks off in the next 60 heats...."
