Final Push and Building for Next Year
The Charlemont Chargers have had a very sucsessful debut season in the Sim Speedway Acadmey League and all is set for a massive final three weeks of the season. With the AL Pairs already in the bag the club are now pushing for the KOCup trophy to really start a trophy cabinet and history for the club.
With three fixtures left in the season the club has decided that the future is vital and to keep this club climbing and going forwards investments had to be made. The club today opened the brand new Sponser Lounge at the All Saints Stadium, a move which has been welcomed and supported by club sponsers PowerCharge Electricians. The PowerCharge Electricians have already signed a new deal to sponser the club through next season and there representatives are said to be delighted on how the partnership has grown and how much sucsess the team has add.
In addition to the lounge, 50 more cap parking spaces have been made available on race nights to help with the large crowds the golden lions have seen come to support them this season. The club holds the AL record for attendance when the club saw 816 of the Pride come through the gates against local rivals Rowley in the KOC Semi Final.
Manager Comments
'The club are very happy to support our sponors with this investment, we have been backed very well by PowerCharge Electricians and it was time to give something back to them. The club has really made strides in the opening season and we are already building for next year. The issue there is we dont know what league we will be in. Were still in with a shout to go into the Evolution League but its not a disater if we stay in the AL. '
'The clubs aim this year was to find our feet and we have far sucseeded that expectation, we have a trophy in the cabinet, into the final of the KOC which we are desprate to win and we are near the top of the league come the buisness end of the season. Its going to be tough to beat the Wizards but this weeks match against Hulls Angels is a cracker. They beat us very well at home in week 10 and we need to go and get that extra point that is needed if we are to win the league.'
'I think Ian Johnstone is now well rested and back to full fitness and hopefully at home he and Chrissy Williams can bang in heavy points to hopefully win by 7 points to get that bonus 1 and be in with a shot of winning the title. Its one fixture at a time and we will hopefully finish well and come away with one trophy if not two.'
