The Knight's Coach, Roddy Pijper, popped p to the gallops on Newmarket Heath to get a few pointers for the start of the Flat racing season in March before travelling on to the raiders Dome to see Maidstone's K.O.Cup Final opponents, Newmarket Raiders, in League action against Iwade. The Home side were on top form as they raced to a 10 victory with their Number 1, Renato Conda, only dropping a single point on the night and they will be a tough nut to crack on their own shale.
Meanwhile, the Knights were having a tough time at Home and could only manage to draw with the Whales, with their Number 1 Viv Thompson having a rare off night to which he is entitled having been the mainstay of the team all season long. Cup Fever has hit Maidstone in a big way with a centre pull-out spread in the local paper and match tickets for both legs of the Final selling like hot cakes.
In anticipation Knight's stadium capacity has been increased to 1,250 and the both the Centre Green and Loos have been upgraded.
Best of luck to both sets of Riders and Fans in their attempt to the lift the Cup!
