Blunsdon Bombers 43 v Canvey Island Castaways 47
Firstly my apologies for the lack of information regarding the Castaways this has been very poor on my part and as from now updates will be more regular.
So onto our last away meeting of the season at Blunsdon and at last the Castaways come good with a brilliant away win we were 8 points down going into heat 9 so i brought in Rafal Narozny in as a tac sub and it paid off with a 1-5 to us then Giarnaset and Koskela banged in another one in the next heat to draw us level after that we managed to keep the scoreline even going into the last three heats Norozny and Czaja grabbed a 2-4 in heat 13 then a brilliant ride by Hawkins and Koskela keeping the lively Mike Lowry at the back kept us two points in front going into the last heat a hushed silence fell over the crowd as the tapes rose for the final heat and it was to bring sadness to the Bombers but great joy to Myself the riders and to the small group of Canvey Fans as Narozny and Czaja got another 2-4 for a fantastic away win.
Other news involving Canvey is we have approached the NSSPA About running another club in the Academy League following the news that Rowley will not be running next season the talks are only tentative at the moment we will have to wait and see but we have been talking to 1 or 2 riders who are very keen to join us in our new venture so watch this space.
So onto our last meeting of the season at home to the Ipswich Cowboys we are now sitting in third place in the league after our wonderful win at Blunsdon so this is a meeting where we must grab all three points to secure the third place although i have just read that the forth placed team will also be going up as Glastonbury after a great season will be closing after the sad loss of Andy but i still want that third place so at least we can say we have gone up by right.
So this is the big one the Surfer boys against the Cowboys will we wipe out the cowboys or will they ride us out of town so be cool and be there for our last meeting of the season.
