With everyone at Tilbury gearing up for our first season in the Power League after a little break attention now turns to putting together a good side. Our three heat leaders from last season have been offered deals to return and I really hope they will be back. We have also already started looking for a new number 1 and if things work out well we will have the rider we wanted leading the new look side.

Delighted to announce that we have agreed a loan deal with Tunstall for the loan signing of our new number 1 Olle Runeberg. Iam looking to forward to working with Olle again having spent some time with him as manager of Sweden U21 when we won the World Cup and he was the star of the team and tournament. From that day I have kept an eye on him and when the opportunity to work with him again this season came up I jumped at it with both hands and am over the moon he has agreed to join us. I really believe we have got him on a really good average and expect him to put at least a point on that. He joins the team along with our other top young talents Akumbaev, Williamson and our pole Witzosek. Attention now turns to completing the team. I would like to say thank you to Tunstall for quick and easy negotiations with Olle.

The Tilbury Dockers are now complete. I am pleased to finally announce our final three riders for the coming season, these are Dylan Goess, Jon Nysted and Mike Cartwright. Dylan is a young man with potential and will go into the main body of the team at either two or four. Jon is another rider I have spent time with when manager of Sweden U21 and I really think he can add to his average and could well be a trump card starting the season at reserve. Mike has been a good scorer in this division and although he has lost his way a little the last year or two he will also start the season at reserve so I really think this will benefit us as once he gets his confidence he can become a big scorer again. I am really pleased with how the team looks and we have strength from number one to seven. I hope the fans are as happy with the team as I am, we have spent lots of money upgrading all the facilities for them this year to make the raceway a great place to watch speedway. Roll on the new season.

What a turnaround it's been for the dockers of late, after a poor start to the season with losing our first meeting at home then getting a few hammerings on the road we have now managed to climb up the table and win our last two away meetings which saw us go to Tweeside and win 52-38. We made a change to the line up bringing in Rocco from IWADE to strengthen up our middle order and he's doing a solid job. Long may this form continue as we now push on for a promotion challenge.
