09/11/2022 at THE MEADOWS RACEWAY - ATTENDANCE 1847
SIM SPEEDWAY 2022/23 - ULTIMATE LEAGUE -
After resisting the temptation to make another change, Workington haded to Coombe Abbey for a team building exercise. Then onto Wolston for a tough match, as expected. Garner jumps from reserve to #1 and knows he will have to continue to show improvement to keep the Heat Leader paypacket. Dempsey struggled, but Cormack was on fire and Logheads were ahead after heat 9. The home side hit back with a 5-1, but Logheads had high expectations after a 5-1 of their own in Heat 13. Last took second to keep our lead going into the final race. However, Cormack was taken very wide on the first bend and unable to get back on terms, Courtney was unable to get ahead of Patterson, whose victory ensured the home win.
